Man charged in robbery of pizza delivery driver

A 40-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of robbery after a Papa John’s Pizza delivery driver was struck in her side and robbed of her delivery items on Ball Park Loop in Halifax last Monday night, Halifax County Sheriff Fred Clark said.

After grabbing the items, the assailant left running from the scene, the sheriff said.

Inv. Mike Womack investigated the robbery leading to the arrest of Brancho D. White of Union Church Road in South Boston on Tuesday.

Also last week sometime during Tuesday, someone broke into the home of Curtis Reagan on River Road in South Boston, Clark said.

A Springfield 9mm pistol was stolen from the residence.

Dep. C.S. Hudson is investigating this break-in.

Sometime last week, someone also stole two large steel legs that are used on a tree de-limber from a logging site on Chatham Road in Halifax.

The equipment belongs to Jeffrey Foster, Clark said.

Dep. W. F. Cross is the investigating officer.
