Halifax man faces robbery charge

A 21-year-old Halifax man faces a felony charge of robbery and attempts.

Edward Dante Younger of Ball Park Loop was charged with the alleged offense that occurred June 6, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Friday.

Ponell Hamlett, 45, of Hamilton Boulevard, South Boston faces a felony charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred June 29, and Clark served the warrant Friday.

 Shavonda Dynette Elam, 34, of Cargills Road, Red Oak faces two felony charges of embezzling leased property.

The alleged offenses occurred Dec. 23, 2011, and Inv. C. J. Yeatts served the warrants Saturday.

 Rotisha Laneese Penick, 24, of Williams Trail, Halifax faces a felony charge of grand larceny, two misdemeanor charges of assault and battery and two misdemeanor charges of vandalism.

The alleged offenses occurred July 4, and Clark served the warrants Monday.

 James Kasean Gooden, 27, of Love Shop Park Road, South Boston was issued a capias for probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred July 9, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the capias Monday.

 Claudette Hankins Lipscomb, 50, of Ragland Loop, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of parking in a fire lane.

The alleged offense occurred May 19, and Clark served the warrant Thursday.

 Shanita Taneen Belcher, 41, of Ball Park Loop, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of parking in a fire lane.

The alleged offense occurred April 3, and Clark served the warrant Friday.

 Christopher Darrius Tucker, 40, of Chestnut Creek Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 10, and Clark served the warrant Friday.

  Gregory Lewis Younger, 53, of Ferry Street, South Boston faces a charge of parking in a fire lane.

The alleged offense occurred April 30, and Clarke served the warrant Monday.

 Selina Chuquirima, 34, of Vernon Hill faces a charge of shoplifting, according to South Boston Police Office records.

Chuquirima was charged with the alleged offense Sunday. 

 Jamale Akeem Waller, 21, of South Boston faces charges of vandalism/property damage and vandalizing telephone equipment.

Waller was charged with the alleged offense Monday.
