SoBo man charged with assault, battery

A 31-year-old South Boston man, Jerome Jackson Carter, faces a felony charge of assault and battery with intent to maim, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

 

The alleged offense occurred March, 2, 2010, and Lt. S. M. Bowen served the warrant Tuesday.

Mark Anthony Adkins, 42, of Taylor Avenue, South Boston faces a felony charge of possessing stolen property with the intent to distribute.

The alleged offense occurred May 4, and Bowen served the warrant Tuesday. 

 Jeremy Deon Medley, 29, of College Street, South Boston faces three felony charges of distributing a controlled substance.

 The alleged offenses occurred May 21, and Deputy T. O. Lewis served the warrants Thursday.

 Edward Coleman, 67, of Dan River Church Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of making annoying phone calls.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 1, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant Tuesday.

 A 17-year-old juvenile faces a misdemeanor charge of failing to appear in court.

The alleged offense occurred April 9, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Tuesday.

 Preston Edward Leigh, 46, of Cluster Springs Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Tuesday.

 Robert Lee Moore, 27, of Toms Trail, Nathalie faces misdemeanor charges of failing to obey a highway sign, eluding police, driving on a suspended license and reckless driving/speeding.

The alleged offenses occurred April 20, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrants Wednesday.

 Clarence L. Roberts, 40, of Hunter Road, Brookneal faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court,

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 10, and Clarke served the warrant Wednesday.

 Jerry Wayne Moore, 57, of Ed Mason Lane, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

 The alleged offense occurred June 27, and Clarke served the warrant Wednesday.

 Tarrell Lamar Traynham, 20, of Vernon Hill faces a petty larceny charge, according to South Boston Police Office records.

Traynham was charged with the alleged offense Wednesday and was released on summons.
