An angry parent has been charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct after their child allegedly was involved in an altercation with another student on a Halifax County Public School bus, Halifax County Public Schools Transportation Coordinator Earl Womack said.
April V. Faulkner, 35, of Cole Lane, Scottsburg faces the two misdemeanor charges for the alleged offenses that occurred Aug. 24.
Cpl. C. S. Yeatts served the warrants Monday.
According to Womack, the driver of the bus asked Faulkner to step off the bus, but she proceeded to argue with the students on the bus who allegedly were involved in an altercation with her child.
“She used inappropriate language and was trespassing on the bus,” said Womack, who pointed out no trespassing is permitted on buses.
