Authorities charge man with assault with intent to maim charge

A 21-year-old Virgilina man faces a charge of felony assault with intent to maim, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

McKenzie Adam Stevens of East Hitesburg Road was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Sunday, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrant the same day.

• Andrew Lee Barksdale Jr., 21, of Love Shop Park Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of embezzling leased property.

The alleged offense occurred April 21, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Saturday.

• Rayshawn Wendell Womack, 39, of Westside Drive, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and refusing a blood/breath test.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and Lt. S. M. Bowen served the warrants the same day.

• Lindsay Dale Singleton, 27, of Slick Rock Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member. 

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Sgt. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant the same day.

• Stephanie Monique Reed, 39, of Mosley Ferry Road, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Clark served the warrant Saturday.

• Larry Junious Goode, 69, of Westside Trail, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Deputy C. S. Hudson served the warrant the same day.

• David Wayne Cummings, 60, of Whitt Farm Road, Virgilina faces a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 12, 2011, and Clark served the warrant Sunday.

• Terance Dion Jones, 24, of Bagwell Drive, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant the same day.

• Ronald A. Waller, 54, of South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of being drunk in public and trespassing on the property of Valero, according to South Boston Police Office records. 

The alleged offenses occurred Monday, and Officer J. J. George served the warrants the same day.
