UPDATE: Warrants issued in South Boston shooting

Warrants have been issued for 32-year-old Michael Jones of South Boston stemming from a shooting that wounded 34-year-old Antonio Jones of South Boston outside Fairmont Apartments between midnight and 1 a.m. Sunday.

According to Cpl. C. L. Carswell, authorities have not arrested Michael Jones on the charges, but they continue to search for him following Sunday night’s shooting.

 Antonio Jones suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest and was airlifted to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond where he is being treated for his injuries.

Anyone with information pertaining to Sunday night’s shooting is asked to contact Carswell at the South Boston Police Department by calling 575-7273.

Also over the weekend, Cpl. Bowen made the following arrests:

• Andrew Dickerson, 25, of Virgilina faces a charge of felony eluding law enforcement officers, felony child neglect, endangerment, driving on a suspended license and reckless driving.

The alleged offenses occurred Saturday, and Bowen served the warrant the same day.

• Tiara Henderson, 19, of Roxboro, N.C. faces a charge of driving on a suspended license.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Bowen served the warrant the same day.

• Bradshaw Woody, 29, of South Boston faces a charge of driving on a suspended license.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Bowen served the warrant the same day.
