Teen faces multiple charges of credit card theft

An 18-year-old South Boston teen faces eight felony charges of credit card theft, two felony charges of grand larceny and two misdemeanor charges of petty larceny, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Scott Matthew Parrish Jr. of Sinai Road was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred March 23 and April 10. Deputy S. Britton served the warrants Friday.

Dalquan Lavon Harris, 20, of Greens Folly Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of marijuana distribution.

The alleged offense occurred March 1, and Britton served the warrant Friday.

 Octavia Barley Martin, 41, of Webster Street, South Boston faces a felony charge of probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred May 7, 2008, and Britton issued the capias Saturday.

 John Michael Chappell, 42, of Thompson Store Road, Vernon Hill faces a felony charge of perjury.

The alleged offense occurred March 5, and Sgt. Q.W. Clark served the warrant Sunday.

 Darrius Lechon King, 20, of Bancroft Street, South Boston faces two felony charges of embezzling leased property.

The alleged offenses occurred Jan. 20 and Feb. 22, and Britton served the warrants Sunday.

 Samuel Heath Fears, 24, of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie faces felony charges of driving under the influence, third conviction and  possessing a controlled substance. 

He also faces misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license after a DUI conviction, driving on a suspended or revoked license, second conviction of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.

The alleged offenses occurred May 1 and Feb. 3. Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrants Sunday.

 James Kasean Gooden, 27, of Williams Street, South Boston faces a felony charge possessing a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

The alleged offenses occurred Jan. 11, and Britton served the warrants Sunday.

 Lacey Tune Jr., 62, of Old Concord Road, Nathalie faces two felony charges of assault with intent to maim.

The alleged offenses occurred Sunday, and Clark served the warrants Monday.

 Jennifer Nicole Collins, 32, of Philpott Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of intent to burglarize and two misdemeanor charges of petty larceny.

 The alleged offenses occurred May 1 and May 8, and Clark served the warrants Monday.

  Michael Dean Marable Sr., 40, of Philpott Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court. 

The alleged offense occurred July 11, and Britton served the warrant Friday. 

  Jonathan Lee Farmer, 19, of Marions Trail, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear in court.

The alleged offense occurred July 11, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant Friday.

  Dorsey Donnell Young, 38, of Poplar Creek Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Britton served the warrant Friday.  

  Charles Terrele Davis, 20, of  Cameron Street, Franklin faces misdemeanor charges of  refusing a blood or breath test and driving under the influence. 

The alleged offenses occurred Saturday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrants the same day.

 Tamara Logan Rowland, 31, of Fenton Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Sargent served the warrant Saturday.

 Cecil Kent Jones Jr., 27, of Clays Mill Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Britton served the warrant Saturday.

 David Chalmers Sr., 49, of Chatham Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Saturday.  

 Leroy Paul Clay Jr., 18, of Thompson Store Road, Vernon Hill faces two misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia.

The alleged offenses occurred June 15 and June 20. Sargent served the warrant Monday.

 Rodney Dean Bowman, 45, of Cartersville Road, Cartersville faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred June 18, and Sgt. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant Monday.

 Jermain S. Pegram, 34, of South Boston was issued a felony capias for perjury for giving false testimony during a trial, according to South Boston Police Office records.

The alleged offense occurred April 23, and Officer R. J. Mead served the capias for the County Sheriff’s Office Sunday. 

Pegram was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

 Lisa M. Jones, 31, of Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting from Walmart.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Sgt. F. M. Edmunds served the warrant the same day.  

Jones was released on summons.

 Dexter E. Mills, 25, of South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of trespassing at Willow Oaks Apartments and having an open container of an alcohol beverage in public.

The alleged offenses occurred Saturday, and Sgt. G. M. Gilliam served the warrants that same day. 

Mills was released on summons.

 Jamand L. Edmonds, 24, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of a possessing an open container of an alcohol beverage in public.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Gilliam served the warrant the same day. 

Edmonds was released on summons.

 Bryan K. Powell, 26, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. 

 The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Gilliam served the warrant the same day. 

Powell was released on summons.

w Delquan L. Harris, 20, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor capias for possessing marijuana with the intent to sell.

 The alleged offense occurred March 3, and Gilliam issued the capias Friday.

 Alexander H. Payne, 22, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

 The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Gilliam served the warrant the same day.

 w John A. Taylor, 27, of Alexandria faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

 The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Officer J. J. George served the warrant the same day.
