Alton man facing grand larceny, burglary charges

A 20-year-old Alton man faces five felony charges - three for grand larceny and two for intent to commit burglary, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Clint Andrew Hazelwood of German Creek Road is charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Sept. 22, 2011, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrants Friday.

 Justin Butler Gravitt, 28, of Ferry Trail, Halifax faces a felony charge of grand larceny.

The alleged offense occurred July 1, 2011, and Clark served the warrant Friday.

 Clifton Dean Robertson, 18, of Oak Level Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of statutory rape and a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The alleged offenses occurred Nov. 1, 2011, and Deputy A.W. Britton served the warrants Friday.

 Samuel Wayne Lancaster, 28, of Ball Park Loop, Halifax faces a felony charge of driving under the influence, third conviction within 10 years.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 27, 2011, and Deputy C. S. Hudson served the warrant Sunday.

 Wayne Earl Burgess, 56, of Halifax Road, Java faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a juvenile protective order.

The alleged offense occurred March 21, and Deputy J. O. Tanner Jr. served the warrant Friday.

 Franklin Roosevelt Ferrell, 52, of Swain Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of making threats over the telephone.

The alleged offense occurred March 19, and Tanner served the warrant March Saturday.

 Danny Louis Perkins, 33, of Love Shop Park Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Sgt. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant the same day.

 Antiwon Sydnor, 19, of Bagwell Drive, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Deputy T. A. Mocarsky served the warrant the same day.

 Darryl James Gomes, 39, of Glendale Drive, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day.
