Halifax man charged with assault

A 23-year-old Halifax man faces a felony charge of malicious wounding, assault with the intent to maim, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Nathaniel Tyrone Terry, 23, of Pine Height Trail, was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Saturday, and Deputy C. S. Hudson served the warrant the same day.

Joseph Carroll Clay, 33, of Runaway Road, Nathalie faces a felony charge of intent to burglarize.

 The alleged offense occurred June 24, and Cpl. P. C. Clayton served the warrant Friday.

 Robert Aubrey Fallen, 34, of Irerson Street, Danville faces a misdemeanor charge of driving with his license suspended under a driving under the influence conviction.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 3, and Clayton served the warrant Friday.

 Cecil Lewis Johnson, 42, of Old Concord Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

 The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrant the same day.

 Ashton Lamar Newman, 19, of Sinai Road, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of vandalism and being drunk in public.

The alleged offenses occurred Thursday and Saturday.  Adams served the warrants Sunday.

 James Edward Wyatt, 24, of Poplar Creek Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of failing to appear in court.

The alleged offense occurred July 10, and Deputy S. Britton served the warrant Monday.

 Victor Deleon, 44, of South Boston faces two felony charges of aggravated sexual battery by force and two charges of indecent acts with a child, according to South Boston Police Office records.

 Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrants Monday.

 A South Boston juvenile faces misdemeanor petitions for assault and battery and destruction of property.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and Officer A. E. Whitmore served the petitions the same day. The juvenile was released to a guardian/parent.

 Alexander H. Payne, 22, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant the same day.

 Ricky Compton, 43, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and J. J. George served the warrant the same day.
