Two South Boston businesses broken into

South Boston Police are investigating two break-ins that occurred Wednesday night on Seymour Drive.

According to Detective R. E. Redd, South Boston Police Officers responded Thursday morning to the laundromat located at 1326 Seymour Drive for a reported breaking and entering and theft.

Officers discovered entry had been made into the building sometime during the night or early morning hours.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from two vending machines located inside the business.  Those vending machines also sustained significant damage as well, Redd said.

Shortly after responding to that call, officers received another call from See-More Car Wash located at 1400 Seymour Drive for a report of another break-in at that business.

Taken from the car wash was an undisclosed amount of cash and a change machine.

Both locations were processed for evidence with officers remaining on the scene for approximately two hours, Redd said.

Anyone having any information regarding these crimes is asked to call the South Boston Police Department at 434-575-7273 or the Halifax County CrimeLine at 434-476-8445.
