SoBo man faces grand larceny, burglary with intent charges

A 42-year-old South Boston man faces felony charges of grand larceny and burglary with intent, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Mark Anthony Adkins of Taylor Avenue was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred May 4.

Corporal C. S. Yeatts served the warrants Tuesday.

• Raymond Garrett Chappell, 30, of Bill Tuck Highway, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Deputy J. O. Tanner Jr. served the warrant Tuesday.

• Floyd Joseph Layne, 31, of Howard P. Anderson Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day.

• Lynette C. Osifeso-Haskins, 47, of Longfellow Street NW, Washington, D. C. faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant the same day.

• John Howard Harris Jr., 20, of Pine Ridge Trail, Vernon Hill faces a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

The alleged offense occurred June 15, and Tanner served the warrant Thursday.

• Michael Glen Broxton, 20, of Bold Springs Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and Deputy A. W. Britton served the warrant Thursday.

• Charles Womack, 42, of Halifax faces a felony charge of enhanced petty larceny from Food Lion, according to South Boston Police Office records.

 The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and Cpl. T. B. White served the warrant the same day.

• Lottie West, 28, of Nathalie faces a charge of grand larceny from Walmart.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Sgt. S. L. Warf served the warrant the same day.

• Agnes Owens, 36, of Clarksville faces a charge of being drunk in public.

 The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant the same day.

• Amanda Stovall, 46, of South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery on a family member.

 The alleged offense occurred Monday, and Officer R. J. Mead served the warrant the same day.

• William James, 27, of South Boston faces a charge of failure to appear in court.

 The alleged offense occurred June 25, and Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Monday.

• Celeste Townes, 21, of Buffalo Junction faces a charge of shoplifting from Walmart.

 The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and Officer A. Whitmore served the warrant the same day.

• Amanda Scoggins, 23, of Sutherlin faces a charge of larceny for allegedly shoplifting from Walmart.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Officer J. J. George served the warrant the same day.

• Tiffany Scoggins, 20, of Sutherlin faces a charge of larceny for allegedly shoplifting from Walmart.

 The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and George served the warrant the same day.

• Sabrina Scoggins, 42, of Sutherlin faces a charge of larceny for allegedly shoplifting from Walmart.
