Property destruction charge lodged

A 36-year-old Brookneal woman was issued a capias on a charge of destruction of property with intent, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Alisha Marie Wright of Mattox Street faces the charge stemming from an indictment handed down May 14.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 27, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant Wednesday.

Dick Melvin Walker Jr., 43, of L. P. Bailey Highway, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a protective order.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Sargent served the warrant the same day.

 Delquan Lee Barksdale, 20, of Love Shop Park, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day.

 Brooks Boyd, 29, of Lennig Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of assault.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and Clarke served the warrant Wednesday.

 A-38-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of malicious wounding, according to South Boston Police Office records.

Carl A. Venable is charged with the alleged offense that occurred May 15, and Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant Friday.

 Rashaun D. Newman, 25, of South Boston faces a felony charge of larceny.

 The alleged offense occurred March 12, and Bush served the warrant Friday.

 Three teens face charges of trespassing at Walmart parking lot.

 Cpl. T. B. White served warrants Saturday to Matthew Lipscomb, 18, of South Boston; Kenneth Mills Jr., 19, of South Boston and Randy Snead, 19, of Clover.
