SoBo man faces assault with intent to maim charge

A 27-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of assault with intent to maim, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Christian Lante McDougald, 27, of Bold Springs Road was charged with the alleged offense that occurred May 13, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrant Sunday.

• Travis Wayne Pannell, 23, of Mountain Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrant the same day.

• Samuel David Redd, 57, of Hall’s Trail, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy A. W. Britton served the warrant Saturday.

• Nathan Owen Thomas, 26, of Leigh Street, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and refusing a blood/breath test.

The alleged offenses occurred Saturday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrants the same day.

• Robert Benjamin Granger, 46, of Winns Creek Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Sgt Q. W. Clark served the warrant Saturday.

 • Anthony Scott Hudson, 43, of Red Bank Road, Virgilina faces two misdemeanor charges of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offenses occurred May 28, and Deputy C. S. Hudson served the warrants Sunday.

• Dominique Lacole Ferrell, 25, of Sinai Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred May 29, and Clark served the warrant Sunday.

• Steve Carroll Paschal, 36, of Pine Lake Road, Danville faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.

The alleged offense occurred July 15, 2011, and Inv. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrant Monday.

• Dana Gregory Blackwell, 51, of Indian Road, Virginia Beach faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and refusing to take a blood/breath test.

The alleged offenses occurred Monday, and Clarke served the warrants the same day. 

• Eric L. Ross, 30, of Java was issued a capias for failure to appear in court, according to South Boston Police records.

The alleged offense occurred May 25, and Officer  R. L. Lawson served the warrant Monday.
