Suspect faces six felonies after search

A 25-year-old Nathalie man who turned himself in to authorities Friday afternoon has been charged with six felonies, according to Halifax County Sheriff Fred Clark.

Eric Lamont Davis, a 25-year-old Nathalie man described by authorities as armed and dangerous, turned himself in to authorities at his Pumping Hill Road home around 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon without incident, Clark said.

He faces three counts of grand larceny, two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and a count of kidnapping/abduction.

Davis contacted Investigator J. M. Burton and told the investigator to meet him at his home Friday afternoon, according to Clark.

Burton served the six warrants on Davis at that time.

Authorities had been searching for Davis for about two days before he turned himself in.

Halifax County Sheriff’s Deputies and a Virginia State Police tactical unit had brought in tracking dogs and a state police helicopter to search for Davis Wednesday evening without finding him.
