SoBo man faces charges of arson, assault of police officer

A 51-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of arson of a dwelling during the day and two felony charges of assaulting a police officer, according Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Charles H. Wilkinson III of Philpott Road was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Sunday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrants the same day.

Michael Antwan Henderson, 25, of Ball Park Loop, Halifax faces a felony charge of violating a capias and a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offenses occurred March 16, 2007, and Investigator J. D. Clay served the warrants Sunday.

 William Edward Henderson, 65, of Fayette Street, Alexandria faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant the same day.

 Kimberly Ann Rogers, 32, of Magnolia Street, Richmond faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Deputy C. S. Hudson served the warrant the same day.

 Gregory J. Hamlett, 32, of Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family or household member, according to South Boston Police records.

The alleged offense occurred Monday at a location on Hamilton Boulevard, and Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrant the same day.

 Dexter E. Mills, 25, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and Officer C. M. Mann served the warrant the same day.
