Maryland woman charged in South Boston stabbing

A 23-year-old Upper Marlboro, Md. woman faces a charge of malicious wounding following an early Thursday morning stabbing incident, according to South Boston Police Captain B. K. Lovelace.

Blair J. Fant was charged with stabbing a man, “roughly in his 20s,” at a location on College Street, Lovelace said.

The victim, who suffered wounds on his arms and chest, refused treatment, the captain said.

Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrant on Fant Thursday.

Fant is currently being held without bond in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

According Lovelace, additional charges are pending upon completion of the investigation.
