Woman charged in SoBo malicious wounding

 A 54-year-old South Boston woman faces a felony charge of malicious wounding, according to South Boston Police records.

 Deborah A. Washington was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Saturday, and Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant the same day. 

Washington is being held on no bond.

w Raashaun D. Newman, 25, of South Boston faces a felony charge of credit card theft and two misdemeanor charges of obtaining money by false pretense and two misdemeanor charges of credit card fraud.

 The alleged offenses occurred March 12, and Officer R. J. Mead served the warrants Saturday. 

Newman is being held on $5,000 secured bond.

Tanya E. Medlock, 40, of South Boston faces a felony charge of child neglect.

 The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Sgt. G. M. Gilliam served the warrant Sunday. 

Medlock is being held on a $5,000 secured bond.

 Daniel D. Jiggets, 22, of South Boston faces a felony charge for shoplifting.

The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Mead served the warrant that same day. Jiggets is being held on a $3,000 secured bond.

 Talethea M. Hughes, 24, of South Boston was issued a summons for a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting.

 The alleged offense occurred Friday, and Mead served the warrant the same day. 

Hughes was released on summons.

 John W. Hudson, 54, of South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of being drunk in public and resisting arrest.

 The alleged offenses occurred Saturday, and Officer R. L. Lawson served the warrant the same day. 

Bond was unknown at press time.
