Alton man faces assault, battery charge

A 62-year-old Alton man faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Jimmy Dale Haskins of Evans Trail was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Sunday, and Lt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Tuesday.

Willie James Murray, 52, of Asbury Church Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and Cpl. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrant the same day.

 Aaron Michael Baker, 20, of Paradise Road, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

The alleged offense occurred April 12, and Deputy R. L. Compton served the warrant Wednesday.

 Jeffrey Fuller Barnett, 46, of Wagstaff Lane, Scottsburg was issued a misdemeanor surety capias.

The alleged offense occurred March 24, and Deputy J. D. Tucker served the warrant Wednesday.

 Tynita Nicole White, 26, of Sinai Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a stalking protective order.

The alleged offense occurred April 24, and Tucker served the warrant Thursday.

 Allen Kent Oakley, 48, of Magnolia Drive, Roxboro, North Carolina faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer T. D. Clay served the warrant Tuesday, and Oakley was released on a summons.

 Carmen Chambers, 40, of E. Bishop Drive, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery on a family member.

Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant Tuesday, and Chambers was held on a $2,000 unsecured bond.

 John Ray Childrey, 29, of Halls Trail, Halifax faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Bush served the warrant Tuesday, and Childrey was released on a summons.

 Samuel Williamson Jr., 51, of Dan River Church Road, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery.

Cpl. M.W. Bowen served the warrant Tuesday.    

 Chelsea Nashay Poole, 22, of Bold Springs Road, South Boston faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Officer J. B. Throckmorton served the warrant Wednesday, and Poole was released on a summons.

 Latia Wynette Sharder, 18, of Clover Road, Randolph faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Officer R. L. Lawson served the warrant Wednesday, and Sharder was released on a summons.  

 Ka’desha Monay Morton, 19, of Magnolia Street, Clover faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

 Lawson served the warrant Wednesday, and Morton was released on a summons.

 James Ford Sibley, 27, of Pine Road, Halifax faces charges of assault and battery and vandalism and was issued an emergency protective order following a domestic dispute Wednesday night, according to Halifax Police Department records. 

 Halifax Police Lt. D. D. Irby served the warrants.
