Man faces mob assault, conspiracy, trespassing, street gang charges

A 22-year-old South Boston man faces two felony charges of assault with intent by mob, charges of conspiracy, being in a criminal street gang, trespassing and two counts of assault and battery, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Dalquan Lavon Harris of Greens Folly Road was charged with the alleged offenses Friday.

Deputy R. L. Compton served the warrants.

Tyreq Trevon Cole, 21, of Bane Street, South Boston faces charges of felonious assault with intent by mob, being in a criminal street gang and two counts of conspiracy.

Officer R. L. Lawson served the warrants Friday.

 Christopher Ryan Andrews, 21, of Chase Avenue, Chase City faces a charge of purchasing a firearm while being a person with a protective order.

Cpl. A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Saturday, and Andrews was released on a summons.

 Alexander Howard Payne, 24, of Suggs Avenue, South Boston faces a charge of being drunk in public.

Officer S. L. Song served the warrant Monday.

 Danielle Nicole Terry, 32, of Suggs Avenue, South Boston faces a charge of felonious assault with intent to maim.

Officer T. D. Clay served the warrant Tuesday.

 Antonio Lavelle Johnson, 22, of Sutphin Road, South Boston faces charges of assault and battery and vandalism.

Officer B. H. Smith served the warrant Sunday, and Johnson was held on a $1,500 unsecured bond.

 A 35-year-old Virgilina man faces a felony charge of assault with intent to maim, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Christopher Marcus Duffer of Phillips Trail was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Oct. 28, and Deputy J. L. Franco served the warrant Friday.

 Herman Dwain Young, 57, Philpott Road, South Boston faces felony charges of obstruction of justice/resisting arrest and being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Franco served the warrants the same day.

 Damion M. Alexander, 23, of Lucinda’s Dirt Road, Boydton faces a felony charge of embezzling leased property.

The alleged offense occurred June 8, and another agency served   the warrant Friday.

 Danny Louis Perkins, 35, of Love Shop Park Road, South Boston faces two misdemeanor charges of assault and battery.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and Deputy J. D. Tucker served the warrants the same day. 

 Donnell Reed Jr., 37, of Highway 49, Roxboro, N.C., faces misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended or revoked license and using false identification.

The alleged offenses occurred Sunday, and Compton served the warrants the same day.

 Ernest Wendell Carr Jr., 43, of Love Shop Trailer Park, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of aggressive driving, reckless driving, assault and battery, brandishing a firearm and disorderly conduct.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy S. Britton served the warrants Sunday.

 James Tyrone Younger, 40, of Summer Duck Road, Summer Duck faces a misdemeanor charge of a good behavior violation.

The alleged offense occurred March 19, and Lt. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant Monday.

 Todd F. Puryear, 48, of Old Cluster Springs Road, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of assault and battery, brandishing a firearm and reckless handling of a firearm.

The alleged offenses occurred Saturday, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrants Monday.

 Sarah Clark, 33, of Rustburg faces felony charges for possessing Oxycodone and cocaine and misdemeanor charges of possessing marijuana and driving on a suspended or revoked license, according to Halifax Town Police Chief Kevin Lands. 

The alleged offenses occurred Friday following a traffic stop, Lands said, and Officer M. Smith served the warrants.
