Jiffy break-in suspect nabbed

An 18-year-old South Boston man has been charged with breaking and entering and petit larceny following a break-in that occurred at the Jiffy Store located on Wilborn Avenue in South Boston, according to South Boston Police Investigator Randy Redd.

Cpl. M. W. Bowen arrested Elridge Dion Jordan of Shepherd Street on the charges.

Officers from the South Boston Police Department discovered a broken window at the Jiffy Store on Thursday shortly after midnight and determined the store had been entered and an undetermined number of cigarettes and other merchandise had been taken from the store.

Jordan was arrested in the Spring Avenue area of South Boston, Redd said, and he was held on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
