South Boston woman facing drug charge

A 35-year-old South Boston woman faces a felony charge of possessing a controlled substance, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Sharonta Sarah White of Hicks Street was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Feb. 26, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant Thursday.

Troy Michael Weatherford, 38, of Liberty Road, Nathalie faces two felony charges of child neglect.

The alleged offenses occurred July 28, and Deputy J. L. Franco served the warrants Thursday.

 Tia Tameka Ballou, 31, of Bane Street, South Boston faces a felony charge of torturing an animal to death and two misdemeanor charges of inflicting injury to an animal.

The alleged offenses occurred Oct. 9, and Clarke served the warrants Thursday.

 Kayla Dawn Saunders, 25, of Mountain Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and South Boston Police Sgt. G. M. Gilliam served the warrant for the county Thursday.

 Larry Darnell Breedlove Jr., 19, of River Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of attempting to defeat a drug/alcohol test.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 28, and Deputy J. D. Tucker served the warrant Thursday.

 Ralph Antawa White, 22, of Mill Pond Road, Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 15, and Deputy S. Edmonds served the warrant Thursday.

 George Myers Breedlove, 49, of Lower Liberty Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Dec. 9, and Franco served the warrant Friday.

 Morgan Joseph Rogers, 23, of Traver Avenue, South Boston faces charges of not having a tag on an animal and not having an animal vaccinated, according to South Boston Police Department records. 

South Boston Animal Control Officer P. B. Murray issued a summons to Rogers Thursday.
