Lucy Ann Hodge Majors

Mrs. Lucy Ann Hodge Majors of Hunting Creek Road, Nathalie died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in South Boston at the age of 59.

Mrs. Majors was born in Halifax County on April 12, 1954 to the late Mr. John Albert Hodge and Mrs. Ethel Mae Hendren Hodge and was married to Mr. Lawrence Abner Majors.

Mrs. Majors is survived by her husband of the home; three daughters, Ms. Feleshia Johnson of Danville, Ms. Amy Hodge of Winchester and Mrs. Sherika Mills and husband Jonathan of Richmond; two sons, Mr. Conell Hodge of North Carolina and Mr. Antonio Hodge of Columbia, Md.; two stepdaughters, Ms. Kathy Tucker and husband Gerald of Nathalie and Ms. Carrie Majors Perkins of Nathalie; one stepson, Mr. Lawrence Majors Jr. of South Boston; three sisters, Mrs. Rosalyn Currie and husband Anthony Sr. Dover, Tenn., Ms. Connie Dent of Columbia, Md. and Ms. Carletta Womack of South Boston; two brothers, Mr. Rodney Hendricks and wife Glenda of Greensboro, N.C., and Mr. Charles Hendricks of Danville; one aunt; five uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Majors were held Monday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

The family received friends Sunday evening from 4 to 5 at Jeffress Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Ms. Carrie Majors Perkins, 2034 Turkey Track Lane, Nathalie.
