Virgilina man faces assault charge

A 30-year-old Virgilina man faces a felony charge of assault with intent to maim and a misdemeanor charge of vandalism, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

William Jason Roberts of Rip Rap Road is charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Wednesday, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrants the same day.

Latorya Marie Faulkner, 29, of Murphy Grove Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice by threat using no force.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy C. A. Bates V served the warrant the same day.

 Dominique Lacole Ferrell, 26, of Bane Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice by threat using no force.

The alleged offense occurred Thursday, and Deputy R. L. Compton served the warrant the same day.

 Ladante Travon Edmonds, 20, of Shepherd Street, South Boston faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Cpl. A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Thursday, and Edmonds was released on summons.

 Leigh Evans Compton, 26, of Bethel Road, Halifax faces a charge of assault and battery.

Officer T. W. Bush served the warrant Thursday, and Compton was held on a $1,500 unsecured bond.

 Michael Bruce Williams, 33, of Neal Davis Road, Ringgold faces a charge of assault and battery.

Bush served the warrant Thursday, and Williams was held on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

 Sherry L. Womack, 28, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting.

Cpl. A. E. Whitmore served the warrant Friday.

 Steven E. Edmonds, 47, of Woodbridge faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

Officer R. Lawson served the warrant Friday.

 Patrick Seward, 35, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public. 

Cpl. J. C. Berry served the warrant Saturday.
