Irma Gray Bray Davis

Irma Gray Bray Davis of 1100 Shelton Road, South Boston died March 12, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 73. 

She was born March 19, 1939 in Halifax County. She was a retired unifill tender at JPS and formerly attended Revelation Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Versie Bray and Annie B. Arrington Bray, four brothers and one sister.  

She is survived by her husband, Albert Q. “Butch” Davis Jr., of South Boston; two sons, Richard D. Mulchi and wife Judy of Halifax, Randy L. Mulchi and wife Ann of South Boston; daughter Rhonda D. Vest and special friend Kelly Adam; twin sister Ina New of South Boston, sisters Brenda Wilson of Chase City and Glenda Thomas of Scottsburg; two brothers, Clifton “Pete” Bray of Richmond and Clarence L. “Squeeky” Bray of Lexington, N.C.; grandchildren Misty Hill, Amanda Mulchi, Megan Mulchi, Brittney Mulchi, Samantha Vest, Melissa Mulchi, Ashley Vest, Andrew Mulchi and Bobby Vest Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren. 

Services for Mrs. Davis will be held Friday, March 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rick Stigile officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. 

Visitation was held at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home, 1100 Shelton Road, South Boston.
