New CVS opens Sunday in South Boston as other two close

A new CVS drug store, under construction for several months at the intersection of Halifax Road and Old Halifax Road in South Boston, will open for business Sunday morning, according to Mike DeAngelis, CVS director of public relations.

Judge affirms jury’s sentence in Halifax murder case

Halifax County Circuit Court Judge Joel Cunningham affirmed Tuesday in Halifax County Circuit Court a jury’s recommended sentence of 35 years in prison for 36-year-old Connie Gayle Ferguson Wynn for charges related to the murder of her husband, Eric Eugene Wynn, last year.
