Duo Faces Drug Charges

According to sheriff’s office records, two South Boston residents are facing felony drug charges.

Alan Scott Phillips, 43, and Amanda Woolard Jordan, 29, both of Linden Place, were each charged with one count of felony possession of a controlled substance.

The offenses allegedly occurred Monday, and Deputy S. W. Gilliam served the warrants the same day.

• Lindsay Dale Singleton, 24, Boyds Ferry Trail, South Boston, was charged with felony grand larceny of more than $200.
The offense allegedly occurred May 25, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrant Thursday.

• Mildred Walker Hammock, 38, Deer Ridge Trail, South Boston, was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.
The offense allegedly occurred Friday, and Deputy J. M. Burton served the warrant the same day.

• Eric Eugene Black, 38, Wickcliff Avenue, Brookneal, was charged with assault and battery of a family or household member.

The offense allegedly occurred Sunday, and Deputy Burton served the warrant the same day.

• April Walker Powell, 29, L.P. Bailey Highway, Nathalie, was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery of a family or household member.

The offense allegedly occurred Monday, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrant that night.

• Kenneth Donald Shotwell, 43, Traynham Grove Road, Alton, was charged with misdemeanor contempt of court.

The offense allegedly occurred Sept. 16, and Cpl. P. C. Clayton served the warrant Friday.

• Vicki Fisher Overby, 39, Hites Mill Road, Virgilina, was charged with misdemeanor contempt of court.

The offense allegedly occurred Sept. 28, and Sgt. Q. W. Clark served the warrant Monday.
