Meadows & Taylor To Appear In Concert On Friday

Trinity Episcopal Church invites the public to a performance by the acoustic duo “Meadows & Taylor” on from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

As part of a community outreach program, the church has been opening not only its doors, but its acoustic sanctuary as well to showcase a variety of musical talents, including those of its own members.

Father Gary Butterworth feels the sanctuary has so much more to offer than the traditional Sunday morning services in regard to the acoustics. The architectural design of the sanctuary provides an incredible atmosphere to enjoy music of any style or genre. In an effort to reach out to the community while sharing this asset of the church, a plan has been created to hold mini-concerts. This opportunity provides such a venue for both fellowship and musical enjoyment.

Meadows & Taylor are the featured artists for October. Watt Meadows, guitarist, is a member of Trinity and serves on the Vestry while holding the position of Junior Warden. He and his singing partner, Glen Taylor, have been playing in a variety of bands together since 1987.

Beginning in 2000, the duo joined forces and has been performing easy listening tunes by the likes of James Taylor, The Eagles, Bob Seger and many more familiar artists.
This Friday’s event is open to all ages and the admission is free.
