A host of recognitions will be on tap for tonight’s Halifax County School Board meeting which will be held at 7 p.m. at the Mary Bethune Office Complex. Recognitions will be made to the winners of the Masonry Skills USA Competition. Also on tap is the Virginia Department of Education Recognition Weeks including Virginia Farm-to-School Week, School Psychology Awareness Week, Geography Awareness Week and International Education Week.
Also on the evening’s scheduled agenda is unfinished business concerning an efficiency study by the Department of Planning and Budgeting (DPB). This unfinished business is slated to be presented by ED-4 representative Joe Gasperini.
New business is scheduled to consist of the approval of the revised K-12 gifted plan, which will be presented by Elementary Education Superintendent Linda Owen.
