Nathalie couple facing multiple felonies

A Nathalie couple is facing multiple felony charges, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Joanna Jordan Allred Crews, 28, of Lennig Road was charged with 18 felony counts, and Frisco Dale Crews, 24, also of Lennig Road was charged with 14 felony counts and one misdemeanor.

Joanna Crews was charged with one felony count of grand larceny, one felony count of burglary, 12 felony counts of check forgery and four felony counts of obtaining $200 or more by false pretense.

The offenses allegedly occurred over a period from March 11 to May 1, and Lt. S. M. Bowen served the warrants Tuesday.

Frisco Crews was charged with one felony count of grand larceny, one felony count of burglary, eight felony counts of check forgery, four felony counts of obtaining $200 or more by false pretense and one misdemeanor count of petty larceny.

The felony offenses allegedly occurred over a period from March 11 to May 1, and the misdemeanor offense allegedly occurred Aug. 5, 2009. Cpl. C. S. Yeatts served the warrants Tuesday.

• Robert Emmet O’Hara IV, 37, River Road, South Boston, was charged with felony receiving or possession of stolen goods valued at $200 or more.

The offense allegedly occurred Aug. 27, and Sgt. D. H. Barksdale served the warrant Monday.

•  Clinton Wade Dixon, 49, Cheerful Lane, Vernon Hill, was charged with misdemeanor vandalism of telephone equipment. He also was charged with misdemeanor vandalism of property valued at less than $1,000.

The offenses allegedly occurred July 5, and Deputy C. A. Bates served the warrants Wednesday.

•  Shavon Jermaine Givens, 23, East Bishop Drive, South Boston, was charged with misdemeanor selling or distributing less than one-half ounce of marijuana.

The offense allegedly occurred Sept. 23, and Deputy J. M. Burton served the warrant Tuesday.

•  Jeremy Dontray Polk, 22, Poplar Creek Street, South Boston, was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery of a family or household member.

The offense allegedly occurred Monday, and Sgt. Barksdale served the warrant Tuesday.

•  Lavern J. Hairston, 28, Bostick Trail, Halifax, was charged with misdemeanor contempt of court.

The offense allegedly occurred Monday, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrant Wednesday.
