Woman facing assault charge

A 35-year-old South Boston woman is facing a misdemeanor assault charge, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records. Stacey L. Robinette of Berry Hill Road was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery of a family or household member.

The offense allegedly occurred Sunday, and Cpl. C. S. Yeatts served the warrant Tuesday.

Robin Lynn McKinney, 45, Union Church Road, South Boston, was charged with misdemeanor trespassing upon property belonging to another after having been forbidden to do so.

The offense allegedly occurred Friday, and Deputy C. A. Bates served the warrant Sunday.

Kenneth Donald Shotwell, 43, Traynham Grove Road, Alton, was charged with misdemeanor violation of the provisions of a juvenile protection order.

The offense allegedly occurred July 25 of last year, and Deputy J. P. Adams served the warrant Sunday.

Michael Lee Totherow, 20, Harmony Road, Alton, was charged with misdemeanor drunk in public.

The offense allegedly occurred Sunday, and Deputy Adams served the warrant that evening.

Tony Andrew Venable, 43, Mountain Road, Halifax, was served a capias warrant alleging he violated the terms of his probation on a felony charge.

The original offense occurred Sept. 27, 2007, and Deputy J. M. Burton served the capias Monday.
