A Night Of Music, Food And Fun Comes To Halifax

The public is invited to the Halifax Farmers Market tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. for the first “Friday Night Jams” of the season.

Tonight’s event will feature live music with David Ellis Martin at 6, and Shine takes the stage beginning at 7:30. And an open percussion jam also will take place to entertain the youngsters.

Those attending the event can take home a friend for life at the Halifax County Humane Society’s “Adopt-a-thon.” Everyone also is invited to bring school supplies to donate to the School Supply Collection Drive.

Farmers Market vendors also will offer fresh baked goods, crafts, local produce and fresh herbs for sale.

“Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music at tonight’s ‘Friday Night Jams’ from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Halifax Farmers Market, 209 South Main St. in Halifax,” said Halifax Town Manager Carl Espy.
