South Boston Town Council faces a short agenda at its monthly work session tonight, with the meeting scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m. at council chambers on Yancey Street. The month- and year-end financial report tops the list of topics for the finance committee.
The current issues committee is expected to discuss proposed agenda items for its Sept. 10 retreat, as well as for the Aug. 9 council meeting, in addition to discussing upcoming grant applications.
Council also is expected to review its list of strategic goals and objectives (2008-2011) at tonight’s meeting.
Included among that list were priority capital improvement projects (town funded) and priority capital improvement projects (grant/revenue sharing dependent).
Following the work session agenda, council is expected to convene as a whole in closed session to discuss disposition of land in Houghton Park, a prospective business and actual or probable litigation.
