Suspects Arrested On Drug Charges

Two Halifax residents were arrested Thursday on multiple drug charges, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Department reports.

Tremel Vincent Childress, 23, of Crawford Road, Halifax was charged with three felony counts of distributing a controlled substance.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred on June 29, 2009, July 7, 2009 and July 14, 2009, and Deputy T. H. Clarke was the arresting officer.

Jarrid Tremayne Graves, 26, also of Crawford Road, Halifax was charged with four felony counts of distributing a controlled substance and two felony counts of conspiring to possess a controlled substance.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred on April 29, 2009, May 12, 2009 and April 28, 2010, and Deputy T. B. Sargent served the warrants on Thursday.

Richard Noell Puckett, 45, of Coleman Road, Scottsburg was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on May 30, and Cpl. P. C. Clayton served the warrant on Friday.

In other police reports:

• Rodney Jay Walker, 48, of Childs Avenue, Hampton was charged with two felony counts of grand larceny greater than $200 and two misdemeanor counts of trespassing.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred on July 7 and July 15, and Deputy Clarke served the warrants on Thursday.

• A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with a felony count of credit card theft.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on July 4, and Deputy W. D. Carr served the warrant on Thursday.

•  Everette James Thomas Jr., 25, of Dana Court, South Boston was charged with a felony count of assault and battery of a household or family member.

The incident is alleged to have occurred Friday, and Deputy J. M. Burton served the warrant that same day.

• Roy Preston Conner, 46, of Love Shop Road, South Boston was charged with one felony count of being an habitual offender and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on May 3, and Sgt. D. H. Barksdale served the warrants on Thursday.

•  Tristan Tyree Wilson, 25, of Howard P. Anderson Road, Halifax, was charged with one misdemeanor count of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

The incident is alleged to have occurred March 18, and Deputy S. W. Gilliam served the warrant on Friday.

• In other arrests in the Town of Halifax, Grant C. Totherow of Nathalie was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to stop at the scene of an accident after a Halifax County Grand Jury handed down a two-count indictment last Monday.
The offenses are alleged to have occurred on April 3, and Lt. D. D. Irby served the warrants Saturday.
