The Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival will be held this weekend - April 30, May 1 and 2 - at Halifax County Fairgrounds.
The seventh annual festival promises to be a fun weekend for everyone complete with antique tractors, cars, trucks, and antique farm equipment demonstrations.
Quarter scale and full size tractor pulls are planned, as well as hot car “burn outs,” exciting equestrian events, tractor parades, fun games for children, and much more.
As in past years, the exhibit hall will be filled with vendors and craft demonstrations; local bluegrass and gospel groups will entertain each day of the festival; and delicious food including hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, Brunswick stew, homemade ice cream, and more will be available on the grounds all weekend.
The committee has designated Friday afternoon as School Day. Students, accompanied by teachers and chaperones, may enter the grounds at 11 a.m. Food will be available for purchase for lunch by noon.
The 7th Annual Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival kicks off Friday at noon and runs through 5 p.m. Sunday at Halifax County Fairgrounds, Hwy 360 East, South Boston.
Exhibitors and vendors are welcome.
