Members of the Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Gang Task Force arrested a Scottsburg woman and a South Boston woman and man on multiple drug charges Thursday, according to Special Agent Mark T. Campbell, task force coordinator. Sherry M. Bomar, 27, of Scottsburg Road was charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance, Campbell said.
She was placed on a $3,500 secured bond, he added.
In a separate case, task force members arrested Paul L. Lupo, 22, and Patricia M. Lupo, 41, both of Ash Avenue, on multiple drug charges, Campbell said.
Paul Lupo was charged with two counts of felony distribution of marijuana and two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, the task force coordinator said. Lupo was held on a $45,000 secured bond, he added.
Patricia Lupo was charged with one count of felony distribution of marijuana, one count of conspiracy to distribute marijuana and one count of distribution of a controlled substance, Campbell said. She was held on a $35,000 secured bond.
The members of the task force expressed appreciation to the citizens of Halifax County and the town of South Boston for their assistance and patience during the investigations, Campbell said.
