The Business Women’s Association of Halifax County is accepting applications for its annual scholarships. Each year the Business Women’s Association of Halifax County offers scholarships to deserving students in the area to help further their education. Students interested in applying for one of the scholarships should pick up an application at the Halifax Library, South Boston Library, Halifax County High School guidance department, or they are available online at the Business Women’s Association website at www.halifaxbusinesswomen.org.
The scholarship application form should be completed, signed and returned via U.S. Postal Service with all required attachments listed on the form.
Applicants must mail the completed application and attachments by Feb. 15 to the address listed on the form. The education committee of the BWA of Halifax County will screen applications, and the top candidates will be notified and scheduled for interviews.
Applications received or postmarked after Feb. 15 will not be considered.
Students or parents with questions regarding the scholarship application process should call Ruth Smith at 476-6026 or Linda S. Foster at 476-6711. Education committee members Pat Yancey or Lanier Moore also may be called.
