Warf Promoted To Rank Of Sergeant

South Boston Police Corporal Stacy L. Warf has been promoted to the rank of sergeant, according to Police Chief Jim Binner.

Warf has been employed with the South Boston Police Department since 1999. Prior to his promotion, Sgt. Warf served as an assistant shift leader in the patrol division of the police department and also as school resource officer at Halifax County Middle School.

As part of his training Sgt. Warf attended several special schools, including First Line Supervisor School, Field Training Officer School, Breath Alcohol Operator Course, Basic Criminal Investigator Course, Identifying Drugs and Drug Cultures in Schools, Advanced DUI School, and Interviews and Interrogations School. In addition, he is certified as a school resource officer.

Sgt. Warf is a shift leader assigned to the department’s patrol division. He assumed his new duties as of Dec. 7.
Sgt. Warf and his wife, April, have two children, Bryson and Breanna.
