Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative crews from Chase City, Gretna and Emporia have returned home safely after helping restore power to customers of Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) after Hurricane Sandy’s wrath.

Holiday Living Show attracts crowd

The annual Holiday Living Show brought almost 2,000 shoppers and browsers to Halifax County High School Saturday and Sunday, with almost $10,000 raised for scholarships for area students, according to the Gail Epps of the Business Women’s Association of Halifax County.
