Hospital recognized for stellar rates

The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS), in conjunction with the Virginia Paternity Establishment Program (VPEP), announced Friday the top 10 Virginia hospitals that are being recognized for excellent performance in paternity establishment for 2013.

Museum to help kids investigate their ancestry in Friday program

School’s out. Spring is warming up once again. Kids need a cool activity to get summer started, and on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon, the South Boston-Halifax County Museum is hosting “Looking Under the Cabbage Leaf” with the genealogy staff.
