Try and imagine a Christmas with no toys under the tree. Now imagine that you own the toy company that makes all of those wonderful toys. The latest production from Halifax County Little Theatre is loosely based on a real episode during World War I.

We’ve Got Rhythm Dance Academy to perform ‘Nutcracker Ballet’ Dec. 14-15

This December the 121-year-old classic Christmas fairy tale ballet is coming to Halifax County. We’ve Got Rhythm Dance Academy will perform “The Nutcracker Ballet” Dec. 14-15.  The performance will include 29 local dancers as well as three professional dancers and other community members.  

Large crowds flock to Holiday Living Show

 

The annual Holiday Living Show brought out approximately 1,300 shoppers and browsers to Halifax County High School Saturday and Sunday, with almost $8,000 raised toward scholarships for area students, according to Ruth Smith of the Business Women’s Association of Halifax County.

Christmas in the air at weekend show

Get that Christmas list ready. It is time. The 2013 Holiday Living Show is all set to go Saturday and Sunday at Halifax County High School. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. 

Elmo Grocery ‘Woven into the community’

A year ago, the  “Crazy Cajun” of Potts Landing gave a piece of history back to the Elmo community for residents once again to make their own.
