Town of Halifax businesses open doors to trick-or-treaters

The Halifax Village Association and the Town of Halifax will once again host “Halloween Trick-Or-Treat” in the town on Thursday, Oct. 31.  The action will begin at 5:30 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.

Businesses will be open to bestow treats on the little ghosts, ghouls and goblins.  The town and Halifax Village Association are very excited to be having this event again this year, said. Events Coordinator Susi Robbins.

According to Robbins, just like in the past, there will be a costume contest for children, ages 0-12.

The contest will consist of a winner in each of four age categories:  0-3 years old, 4-6-years old, 7-9-years old, 10-12 years old.  The contest will be held at Hite Insurance Agency.  There is no charge to enter.

As well as treats and the costume contest, there will be a cakewalk and games for the children at several locations.

Beth Car Baptist Church will be hosting a Trunk-Or-Treat.
