South Boston native has hand in viral video poking fun of Facebook

Have you ever been annoyed by Facebook friends’ seemingly unending barrage of posts in which they brag about everything from their gourmet dinners with the sunset views to how much they love their spouses and pets?

Well, cartoon character Greedy Graffiti is definitely annoyed, and he hopes his new animated viral music video “Face Brag” will help stop the trend.

The video can be seen at: , and it features the voice talents of former “One Tree Hill” star Bevin Prince as well as production by former South Boston resident Charlie Fulp.

Fulp, the son of Frances Fulp of South Boston and the late Watkins Fulp, is a 1986 graduate of Halifax County High School and a 1990 graduate of Virginia Tech.

He currently resides in Wilmington, N.C., where he is a full-time song writer and animation producer.

Animator Rinat Gazizov, who has worked on animated sequences for such high-profile projects as “Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2,” directed the video, and the song was mastered by Gene Grimaldi, a highly sought after studio engineer who has mastered projects by such artists as Lady Gaga, Akon, Toni Braxton, Hannah Montana, Mary J. Blige and many more.

“Face Brag” is one of several animated videos by fictional cartoon rapper Greedy Graffiti, who is currently completing an album’s worth of new comedy songs.

After the album is completed, Fulp and his production team will focus their attention on creating an animated pilot for a musical TV show for Greedy Graffiti described as “South Park” meets “Glee.”
