Staunton River Battlefield State Park hosts Easter egg hunt Saturday

Trees are budding, birds are chirping, flowers are blossoming, and the grass is growing greener:  Spring is “hopping” in and Easter is right around the corner.

The public is invited to enjoy a “good ole fashioned” Easter egg hunt at the Staunton River Battlefield State Park on Saturday from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

The Easter egg Hunt is intended for children 10 and under; admission is $3 per person.

The Easter bunny will be “hopping” in at the State Park, and he has brought lots of goodies to share.

The public is invited to join in on the fun as the historic Staunton River Foundation and the Staunton River Battlefield State Park host their seventh annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Registration begins at 1 p.m. followed by an exciting Easter egg hunt from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m.

Other activities include visits with the Easter bunny, Easter fishing, cake walk, pick-up-ducks, petting live bunnies and more from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The children will be divided into groups according to their ages for the Easter egg hunt.  Children ages 10 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

Concessions will be available for purchase from the Mt. Laurel Ruritan Club.

Bring an Easter egg basket and camera, and don’t forget to bring family and friends.

In the event of inclement weather, the rain date will be held Sunday.
