After Hours with the Author slated Tuesday at library

The library will debut a new program at the Halifax County Library, After Hours with the Author.  

These programs will be an opportunity for local authors to introduce themselves and their works to potential readers.

It will take place after the library has closed.  Staff will be on hand to allow people into the library for the program.  

Light refreshments will be served.

The first program will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and will feature author and professor Bunny Goodjohn. 

Goodjohn is an assistant professor of English at Randolph College and also serves as the school’s director of the writing program and tutoring services.  

She is the author of the book “Sticklebacks and Snow Globes” and has had her works published in numerous journals, including “The Texas Review,” “The Cortland Review” and “Connecticut Review.”

These programs are free and open to the public.
