Halifax County IDA unveils new logo

A new clean, modern, bold, technological, super-sophisticated logo now brands the Halifax County Industrial Development Authority.

The new logo was unveiled Thursday evening at a reception held at Riverstone Technology Park for new Halifax County Administrator Jim Halasz, new Halifax County School Superintendent Dr. Merle Herndon and new Halifax County Industrial Development Authority Executive Director Matt Leonard.

The authority selected the design after viewing three logos presented by Glerin representatives Ben Cappozi and Lisa Kipps-Brown who undertook the task of updating the authority’s website and branding initiative.

“It is boom, this is us,” Cappozi said when describing the most popular logo selected by a consensus of authority board members last week.

“The inspiration for this is a road race in the hidden “H” which led to implying a lot,” he told authority members. The logo embodies square shapes that can be described as plots of lands, a power grid or a profile of a cityscape.

“It’s subtle and classy,” Cappozi said.
