Participants can register by Sept. 17 and pay $40 to attend the second annual Southern Virginia Business Expo hosted by Longwood University Small Business Development Center. This price includes continental breakfast, catered lunch, a full day of networking, motivational speakers and numerous exhibitors.
After Sept. 17, the fee will increase to $50.
Over 200 business owners and managers attended the inaugural event in 2011. This year’s expo, to be held Sept. 26 at the STEPS Centre in Farmville, will again feature an exhibit hall with expanded networking time.
Attendees and exhibitors alike will also have opportunities to learn marketing strategies from keynote speaker and workshop leader John Jantsch.
Jantsch is a marketing consultant, award winning social media publisher and best selling author of “Duct Tape Marketing” and “The Referral Engine.”
His blog was chosen as a Forbes favorite for marketing and small business, and his podcast, a top 10 marketing show on iTunes, was called a “must listen” by Fast Company magazine. He is the featured marketing contributor to American Express OPENForum. His practical take on small business is often cited as a resource in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and CNN Money.
