Trip to New York inspires new woman’s clothing store in SoBo

Just three weeks ago, South Boston native Cornelius Brandon made his dream become a reality when he opened his own women’s clothing store —3Ts Fashions on Wilborn Avenue in South Boston.

The store specializes in affordable woman’s clothing available in all sizes and is open every Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Brandon decided to open the store after a trip to New York.

He had always wanted to start a business of his own and wanted to get ready for retirement, so he decided to open a clothing store specializing in women’s clothing.

He chose women’s apparel because he said he didn’t think men would shop a lot in this area.

He said he does sell men’s T-shirts and is thinking about doing more in the men’s department.

Cell phones are another service Brandon is thinking about offering at 3Ts Fashions in the future.

Brandon describes business the passed few weeks as slow, but he said he believes it will pick up once people know they are there.
