Scotty E. Felton, an award winning associate broker with The Davis Company Realtors, will lead the new office, and it will be managed by Becky Hatch, managing broker of the Long & Foster’s Stony Point office.
Other agents include Honey Davis, Jim Davis, Dewey Compton, Charles Fergurson and Rhonda Buckley.
The grand opening will be from 11 a.m. to noon at the South Boston office.
“Long & Foster is committed to growing our presence in central Virginia, and teaming with The Davis Company Realtors allows us to increase our footprint and better serve home buyers and sellers throughout the area,” said Scott Shaheen, senior regional vice president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Additionally, having a leader like Scotty, who is active in the community, provides us with a unique understanding of the local market and the needs of its residents.”
The South Boston office is a direct result of Long & Foster’s Elite Entrepreneur Platform, which allows agents to build their own business while aligning with the No. 1 independent residential real estate company in the United States.
“The fact that the agents with The Davis Company Realtors were presented with this unique opportunity is a great testament to their leadership, hard work and success in the real estate business,” said Hatch.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Long & Foster and to have the opportunity to lead a team of agents who will receive the best in training, technology and tools available to them,” Felton said. “Not only does Long & Foster have excellent brand recognition, but it’s a company that puts its agents and clients first. We’re excited and ready to put our skills to work in the local community.”
“Opening this new office aligns with Long & Foster’s plan to expand our ability to provide unparalleled customer service to our buyers and sellers, and our continued growth is one of the reasons we are the No. 1 firm throughout the mid-Atlantic,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate.
“For more than 45 years, Long & Foster has been home to the best-trained, best-equipped real estate agents and leaders in the industry, and we have no doubt that the new South Boston office will be the go-to resource when consumers in this area of Virginia are looking to make confident, well-informed buying and selling decisions,” Scott said.
