RTP celebrates 30 years of operation in SoBo

RTP Company’s Southeastern Regional Facility, located in South Boston, is celebrating 30 years of operation this month. 

The facility is comprised of 110,000 square feet and manufactures a broad range of engineered thermoplastic compounds for customers throughout the eastern United States and overseas. The facility employs 15 persons, some who have been with the company since its beginning.  

RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, Minn., is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has 12 manufacturing plants in the United States, Europe and Asia, plus sales representatives throughout the world. 

RTP Company’s engineers develop thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural and wear resistant properties. 

To celebrate 30 years in business in the county, RTP Company – Southeastern Regional Plant will hold a lunch for its employees and invited guests from noon until 2 p.m. next Wednesday at the plant.
