HISTORIC NOLAND VILLAGE COUNTRY FAIR DAY: On May 10, the public is invited to come help celebrate the milestone 25th anniversary of the annual Noland Day. Those that re-created Noland Village will be recognized for their effort to restore the village and maintain it over the last 25 years. Noland Village is located in the Providence community in the northern part of Halifax County at the intersection of Cole’s Ferry, Morton’s Ferry and Lake Conner Roads, just one mile from Conner Lake. For GPS users, the address is 5021 Morton’s Ferry Road, Nathalie. There will be musical performances throughout the day, along with antique tractor and machinery displays, antique and classic cars, quarter scale tractors, hit and miss engines of all types, arts and crafts, artisans, woodworkers, children’s activities, a live farm animal display and the much anticipated tractor and antique car parade at 10:30 a.m. The fun starts at 10 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m. No admission is charged to attend or display vehicles and machinery, and everyone is invited to attend.
